Supportive Services for Veteran Families

Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) is a program that serves low-income veterans and their families who are homeless or who are at risk of losing their homes. We provide outreach, case management, and assistance in obtaining benefits.

SSVF is funded by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs and administered by Catholic Charities of Onondaga County. Services are provided by both Catholic Charities and the Salvation Army.

We look forward to working with you, and thank you for your service to our country.

Filling out the form below will allow our staff to get in touch with you. If you prefer to contact us, please call 315-378-4054 or email SSVF@ccoc.us.

Application for Assistance

Are you a resident of Onondaga, Cayuga, or Oswego Counties?
Did you, or did someone you live with, serve at least one day of active duty in the United States Military?
Are you experiencing a housing crisis?
This could mean that you are homeless, facing eviction, or sleeping somewhere that is not your home (e.g. your car, a friend's couch, or a home that has been declared unfit for human habitation).

If you answered “Yes” to the questions in the form, we can help. We will contact you within the next 24 hours or on the next business day.

If you answered “No” to one or more of the questions, that doesn’t mean Catholic Charities cannot assist you in another way. We have a multitude of programs that address housing needs, food, prescriptions, elderly services, parenting, mental health, and many others. Please reach out at 315-424-1800 or info@ccoc.us, and our staff will direct you.
