AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP
AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP (Retired Seniors Volunteer Program) is one of the largest volunteer networks in the nation for people 55 and over. You can use the skills and talents you’ve learned over the years or develop new ones while serving in a variety of volunteer activities within your community.
The Basics
- Location: Based at Salina Town Hall, 201 School Road, Liverpool, NY 13088
- No fee.
- Eligibility: Applicants must be 55 years or older and must formally enroll. A personal interview is required.
- Training is provided. Background checks may be required.

Volunteer Opportunities
- Help deliver meals to homebound seniors and the disabled.
- Assist one of the many pantries located in our community.
- Offer transportation for medical appointments.
- Visit lonely seniors residing in skilled nursing facilities or hospice.
- Perform a variety of patient support tasks at one of our area hospitals.
- Train to become a non-aerobic fitness instructor for our RSVP Strong Bones classes.
- Help out at a parish thrift store or nonprofit clothing closet.
- Assist with clerical tasks at one of many community agencies.
- Provide assistance to refugee families.
- Volunteer at one of our museums, nature centers or the zoo.
- Assist victims of natural disasters.
