Sacred Heart Parish Makes an Impact

For weeks leading up to Valentine’s Day, Sacred Heart Parish has a special drive for our Men’s Shelter. They put out notes about what items the shelter is in need of (laundry detergent, blankets, etc.) and parishoners take the notes and return the items. This drive is curently in its tenth year, and this year’s donation was the biggest yet! Six parish volunteers delivered the donations to our House of Providence headquarters shortly after Valentine’s Day; four cars were required to carry all of the items.

This donation is deeply appreciated by the resident’s of our Men’s Shelter and by our staff there. Thank you, Sacred Heart! We’re also deeply grateful for the many warm dinners the parish provides, and the annual summer picnic they organize for shelter residents. We consider ourselves blessed to have the Parish and many other dedicated supporters as part of our community.
