In commemoration and celebration of World Refugee Day, Catholic Charities of Onondaga County is hosting a day of Story Writing and Sharing at our CYO. Anyone who arrived in the United States as a refugee is invited to come tell or write your personal story of life in your country of origin, why you came to the United States, or whatever you’d like to share.
Each person will select whether they want their story shared, how much of their story they want shared, and with whom. Writing your story, but not sharing your story, is fine. Interpreters, staff, and volunteers will be available to help record your story-you do not have to be able to write in English.
Refreshments will be served throughout the day. Arrive whenever is best for you, stay as long as you wish!
