Procession in Solidarity with Refugees and Immigrants

On Sunday, May 6th, we co-hosted a procession to demonstrate solidarity with refugees and immigrants with our friends from InterFaith Works. About 200 people from many faith traditions joined the procession in a gesture of welcome and acceptance. We thank our many speakers, hosts (Destiny Christian Church, Assumption Church, the Myanmar Baptist Church, the Vietnamese Buddhist Temple, Masid Balil Mosque ) and all participants for coming together for a wonderful afternoon. The spirit of unity that infused the event, and the show of support from the community, is an invigorating reminder of the positive impact we have when we work together with open hearts and minds.
