People of all faith communities are invited to join a prayerful procession in solidarity with refugees on May 6th. Along the route, the procession will pause at several faith centers in a gesture of welcome and acceptance. This is a family friendly event co-hosted by CCOC and InterFaith Works.
What: Procession of Neighbors – an inter-religious procession through Syracuse’s Northside neighborhood
When: Sunday, May 6th from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pmÂ
Where: The procession begins at Destiny Christian Church (514 Turtle St.) and proceeds down Salina to Assumption Church (812 N. Salina). The group will then stop at the Myanmar Baptist Church (1501 Lodi St) and the Vietnamese Buddhist Temple (518 Prospect Ave). The procession will conclude at the Masid Balil Mosque (466 N. Salina St.), followed by a reception with refreshments at the Northside CYO Refugee Services (527 N Salina St.).
